Strategy: Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Ukraine (UA EITI), forming local partnerships between government, companies and affected population and reduce conflict potential through UA EITI in selected oblasts.

Evaluation: PTB Program Support to the Development of Quality Infrastructure in the countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tadzhikistan, Uzbekistan).

Co-Author: Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Standards: System and Accidents in the Extractive Industry in Ghana.

Lead Author (consortium of 7 consultants): Assessing the Effectiveness and Impact of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

Lead Author: Scoping Study (Mining, Oil & Gas, Forestry) for the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Malawi (MW EITI).

Evaluation: Program “Promoting Good Governance in the Extractives Sector in Afghanistan – Mining Governance (MinGov)”.

Moderation: Supporting the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Germany (D-EITI) composed of representatives from federal and state government, private sector and civil society organizations in reaching consensus concerning the work plan objectives and scope of report.

Strategy: Analysis of EITI implementation in G7-, EU- and OECD-countries focusing on Australia, France, Great Britain, Italy, Norway and USA for the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Germany (D-EITI).

Moderation and strategy: Kiev-based conference of Publish What You Pay (PWYP), GIZ and DixiGroup “Ukrainian and Eurasian NGO in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI): Common challenges - joint approaches” to promote and deepen EITI-implementation in the Eurasian region, involving CSO from 8 countries (Albania, Azerbaijan, Germany, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Ukraine).

Author: Three eLearning modules on ”Introduction to Responsible Mining” for the international network of the Eco-Campus, featuring history and concepts of Responsible Mining, i.a. EITI, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) for the Eco-Campus of BTU Cottbus.

Strategy: design and appraisal report for sequa's Chambers and Associations Partnership Programme (KVP) between HK Hamburg, Germany, and CCI Sekondi-Takoradi (STCCI), Ghana.

Strategy: transformation management of the Daimler AG-funded business initiative Southern Africa Initiative of German Business (SAFRI) towards expanding its activities to Sub-Saharan Africa in 2015 and to be coordinated by the associations of German business in “Haus der deutschen Wirtschaft” in Berlin.

Strategy and organisational development: Preparing the candidature application of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Malawi (MW EITI.

Country assessments: Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI) 2016 (and 2014, 2012, 2006) in the project “Shaping Change – Strategies of Development and Transformation”.

Technical assessments (team member): legal advisory services to the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy (MLME) of Liberia for the development of a full set of mining regulations mandated by Houston International Business Corp. (HIBC). Contribution: Regulations on Social & Community Development, Local Content.

Strategy: Mongolian-German G7 Fast Track Partnership (FTP) Conference 2014 on improving transparency around extractives.

Strategy and organisational development: Implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Ukraine (UA EITI).

Strategy: Building alliances for the International Tax Compact (ITC) to fight tax evasion and inappropriate tax practices.

Strategy and organisational development: Implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Germany (www.D-EITI.de) mandated by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

Evaluation consultant: Import Promotion Desk (IPD) 2012-2014 Mandate (EUR 1,5 mio.) implemented by sequa in cooperation with the Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA).

Evaluation: Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) 2012 - 2015 Mandate (CHF 27,6 mio.) implemented by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) and mandated by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.

Co-Author: report on options for global portfolio development for KfW’s financial cooperation in the extractives sector.

Strategy: Design, appraisal report and offer for the project Improving Resource Governance in Mozambique (EUR 2 mio., 06/2013-05/2016), an integrated approach of German technical cooperation with the Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) mandated by GIZ on behalf of BMZ.
